Jade's Story

Jade's Story

Earlier this year, we met a 16-year-old girl who bore the scars of exploitation—both literal and emotional. She had been trafficked by multiple individuals, one of whom branded her with a mark as bold and visible as a tattoo on her hand, a cruel claim on her life. Already branded by others, she added a mark of her own. With a knife, she carved the word “forgotten” onto her arm. Desperate to escape her situation, she told our team, “I want to get out but don’t know how to make money legally.” Within days, she disappeared without a trace.

Her story inspired us to create bracelets for every youth we encounter. A discreet attempt to give them a line of defense when they go missing. The outside reads “worthy and not alone,” in honor of Jade. The inside hides an untraceable hotline number for youth with a message from us, “Check in soon”. These bracelets have become a lifeline, a symbol of hope, and a reminder that they are never truly alone.
